A poor start their last time out helped end the Anaheim Ducks' early win streak. Their next opponent had trouble getting its offense going throughout its most recent game.
The Ducks will try to get back on track Sunday when they host the Phoenix Coyotes, who will seek to avoid a third straight defeat.
Anaheim allowed two goals in the first 7:40 against visiting Dallas on Friday, including one 13 seconds into the contest. The Ducks never recovered in a 3-1 loss that ended their string of four consecutive victories.
"We came out pretty flat. You can't do that against a good hockey club," captain Ryan Getzlaf said. "We've got to learn from it. We've still got a lot of good things going here. We won four in a row. We dropped one tonight, but we've got to get a big win Sunday."
