Phoenix Coyotes general manager Don Maloney said this month could prove the most demanding for his club this season. The Coyotes, though, have already appeared to find their groove despite a hectic schedule. Their attempt for a season high-tying third straight win Thursday night comes against a Detroit Red Wings team that's eliminated them from each of the past two postseasons. Phoenix (15-9-3) is set to play 16 games in December, tied for the most in one month this season, and 10 of those will be away from home. "December is the most difficult month of our season when you consider our travel schedule and the number of back-to-back games we play," Maloney told the team's official website. Phoenix will play three times in four days in each of the next three weeks and three sets of back-to-back games this month after having only two in October and November.
