This past Sunday was an offensive success for the Dallas Stars organization. Having nine picks in seven rounds, the Dallas Stars selected six forwards, two defensemen, and one goaltender.

The draft started off as a success for Dallas once they realized they were able to draft Valeri Nichushkin as the tenth overall pick. Nichushkin was expected to be drafted earlier, but he fortunately fell to the tenth pick. As I mentioned in an article a couple weeks ago, Nichushkin is a dominant player who is most highly noted for his physicality and puck control.
Similar to the puck control dominance of Nichushkin, Jason Dickinson (the 29th overall pick for the Dallas Stars) is strong on and off the puck.
