Don’t mind the player skating through the defense there, Minnesota Wild. That’s just Dan Boyle popping in one of the most impressive goals of the year. Boyle went coast-to-coast against the Wild on Wednesday night, weaving right past the defense and sneaking the puck behind Niklas Backstrom. It doesn’t get much better than this. Check it out in the video below.

Video- Dan Boyle Goes Coast-To-Coast

A great goal by Dan Boyle, but do you take away a little bit of the wow factor because it was a 5 on 3 goal?

Bios from a Minnesota Wild writer about Johan Larsson and Matt Hackett

I'll make this quick... I reached out to Dan over at Hockey Wilderness (SB Nation site) to get some info about  Johan Larsson and Matt Hackett. Here's what he's got on both players:   Hackett is a solid sized goaltender with great reflexes and smooth movements. He's aggressive in the crease and an extremely athletic player, who is strong in the crease...

Fourth-line success benefiting Wild

ST. PAUL, Minn. Think of the Minnesota Wild, and thoughts will typically go to names like Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu, Ryan Suter and Niklas Backstrom. Minnesota's veteran players and leaders Koivu wears the "C" as captain and Parise and Suter are assistant captains in their first season with the Wild inevitably draw well-deserved attention. The second line of Pierre...

Brad Ratgen: Wild's Hot Streak About to Be Challenged? 54 Points or Bust!

The signings of Zach Parise and Ryan Suter on July 4th as UFA’s ushered in a new era for Wild faithful. We are now at the beginning of an era of patience and planning. Gone are the Risebrough days of abnormally high contracts for mediocre players; losing star players for nothing; getting goons at the trade deadline just to say we did something. It was about this time last...

GARTH: Bull Shift

Jason Pominville made his Wild debut on Thursday night in LA. He was -1. Tonight, the focus shifts to the kids that Buffalo traded their captain for. Johann Larsson will make his debut in Rochester. He will center for Zemgus Girgensons and Jacob Lagace for the Amerks. Matt Hackett will back-up David Leggio. The Sabres also received a first rounder and a second rounder...

(Video) End of the Wild and Sharks game

Since when is it now permissible to cross-check your opponent multiple times in the NHL? The refs in this game should be punished the NHL’s head of officials for their performance at the end of this game. After re-watching this video, I am more upset because the NHL officials are supposed to be the best in the world and should be held to a higher standard. This is kind of bush...
