The Red Wings and their fans got some very good news Tuesday morning as it was announced that Pavel Datsyuk and the team inked a three year extension to his current deal that was set to expire after this upcoming season. Datsyuk first announced the deal on his Twitter page as speculation to a deal being close emerged in recent days. Signed 3 yr. extension. Obviously this deal ends those questions, at least for the foreseeable future as Datsyuk will finish out the deal after the 2016-17 season when he’ll be 38 years old.
