Double Coverage Football:
#23 ARIZONA STATE AT #5 STANFORDStanford Stadium, Palo Alto, CA
Saturday, September 21, 7:00 PM on FOX
We've already made enough jokes about the horrible Week 4 line-up, but we didn't lose this matchup in the shuffle. Arizona State's trip to Stanford in the only meeting between ranked teams this week, so you don't really have an excuse not to watch it. Not that you'd need one. The Sun Devils are aiming to swing the balance of Pac-12 power back to the South Division, while the Cardinal are hoping to show the country they're a BCS championship contender. This one shouldn't disappoint. As always, we'll be live tweeting @DCoverageFB during the game on Saturday, so interact with us by using the hashtag #GOTW.
Brendan's Pick: Since expanding to 12 teams and splitting into North and South divisions in 2011 the Pac-12's power has been firmly entrenched in the North. In the league's first championship game, the eventual Rose Bowl cham...

No. 23 Arizona State (2-0) at No. 5 Stanford (2-0)
Saturday, 7:30pm ET, FOX
The headline should be two ranked teams going at it early on in the Pa-12 season, unfortunately a group of officials and the end of last week's game between Wisconsin and Arizona State has overshadowed some of the talk heading toward this matchup.
ASU won the game in the...
Arizona State is a completely different beast now than they were when Stanford last faced them in 2010. The Sun Devils are disciplined, fast, and physical. It will take a solid effort in all phases of the game for the Cardinal to proceed through this Saturday undefeated.
STANFORD, Calif. – a multitude of errors as well as extremely poor play had Arizona State trailing 29-0 after the first half. The second stanza saw the Sun Devils outscore Stanford 28-13. But this isn’t a case of the glass half empty or half full, but rather ASU overall failing to show up on their biggest stage thus far in 2013 as they were dominated by the Cardinal 42-28.

The Arizona State Sun Devils find themselves ranked this week but if they want to keep that ranking they will likely have to upset Stanford.
No. 23 Arizona State pulled off an upset against Wisconsin last week thanks largely to some awful officiating but alas it still counts as a win. This week they play against No. 5 ranked Stanford.

The Cardinal defense, in its biggest test of the game thus far, came up big in the third quarter. Read on as we describe what happened.
All of The Bootleg's Stanford-Arizona State coverage is in one spot. The Cardinal's first true, physical test of the 2013 season here, and there's no better way to prepare for kick-off than a perusal through this page.
If a college football team has had a better half this season, I’d love to see it. Stanford leads 29-0 at the break, and add in a missed extra point, a missed field goal and a touchdown instead of a safety, and it could easily be 38-0. One week after a grind-it-out win at Army, the Cardinal look elite this afternoon.
A beautiful first half gave way to a second half of necessity. Three Arizona State touchdowns gave the Sun Devils new life in the fourth quarter, but then the Cardinal running game salted the game away and practically refused to give the visitors the ball back. A come-from-ahead 42-28 win for your Stanford Cardinal, now 3-0 for the fourth straight season for the first time since 1911.
One of the best games of the Week 4 schedule will take place in Palo Alto, as Arizona State meets Stanford in a potential preview of the Pac-12...
