Guess who is ready to play some serious hockey... That's right Johan Franzen is. Once the flowers start to bud in good ole Hockeytown the Mule comes out of hibernation, gets angry, then hungry. Franzen seems to be gearing up for his favorite part of the year and with two games remaining.

Tonight we face the Devils for the first time this season where we will get a first hand look at this summers biggest name Zach Parise. Detroit has been rumored to be interested in Parise for some time an may make a huge pitch this summer to obtain him.
All that aside the Devils are playing much better than last January when the Wings beat them 3-1. Ilya Kovalchuk has regained his offensive flair, and Martin Brodeur is back to his old ways. These teams are evenly matched with solid defense, a powerful offense, and all-star caliber goaltending. Lets see if Detroit still has something left in the tank after last nights nail biting win.
Babs juggled the lines last night in the third and one would assume that he will continue this trend over the next two games to find his best fit. Kindl will be scratched tonight in favor of Quincey who returns after serving his one game suspension. The 6th D spot is still up for grabs as well as who will be scratched when Helm returns.
I don't know about you, but I get a little sad when I see the Wings streaking into the zone and realize that nothing will come of it because it's Emmerton. I would love to see him scratched in favor or Nyquist once Helm returns. A Bertuzzi, Helm, Cleary line followed up by a Miller, Abdelkader, Holmstrom line seems to inspire much more confidence.
