The New Jersey Devils will honor Karel Rachunek and Alexander Vasyunov prior to Saturday nights opening night game against the Philadelphia Flyers. The team has announced they will wear patches remembering the former Devils killed in the September 7th plane crash that took the lives of the entire Lokomotiv team.
All the jerseys worn in the game will be autographed by the entire team then auctioned off. Each auction will have an opening bid of $500 with all the proceeds going to Vasyunov and Rachunek’s families. If you are interested in bidding on one of the jerseys please visit auction.nhl.com.
