New Jersey Devils defenseman Bryce Salvador is ready to return from a concussion that sidelined for the entire 2010-11 season. It was obvious the loss of the veteran blueliner’s leadership played a part in the teams early season swoon. The good news is he has been working out symptom free throughout the extended off-season and he’s setting his sights on training camp. Devils beat writer Tom Gulliti reported that Salvador spent the summer in Minnesota working out with fellow NHL players including teammate Zach Parise. Now the 35 year old veteran is back in New Jersey and has been skating at the Prudential Center for the last couple of weeks, symptom free. Salvador expects the Devils’ doctors to give him full medical clearance “within the next couple of weeks.” Once that happens it’s game on.
