Through Twitter, @TheYotesDiva shared with her followers this press release.

In short, three, of which tonight’s Coyotes game against the Ottawa Senators is one, will not be televised here in the local market via NHL Center Ice.

Essentially, because DiSH couldn’t negotiate their way out a paper bag, they decide to take the ball and go home.  Usually, I don’t care about these types of squabbles because quite frankly, I’m very happy with my television provider (thanks Cox Communications!) and have been for the past three to four years.  When the SatCos squak and scream, I just think this fight is between billionaires and the people that suffer are the children…er….the customers.

Now, we have collateral damage.

I’m looking at a black screen and it’s my own damn fault for not remembering, but this is pretty ridiculous.  It’s not like I hate Bob Heethuis, Todd Walsh, or Tyson Nash on the radio.  Hell, I put the radio broadcast when I catch the Coyotes on the Center Ice package.  I’d rather hear the home team announcers anyway.

However, for some reason, I wanted to see this game tonight, and the bastards over there at DiSH network are to blame.  They can’t tell me any different.

So, the next time I’m in the market to change my television provider, I’ll remember this and choose someone else.  They can’t snow me with their propaganda.  They have done this kind of crap for years, towing the line of “We’re looking out for you.  We don’t want to pass on the fees to you our subscribers.”

Nope, they will make billions just like they always do.  Funny thing is I went to this link starting from their company’s page.  Look under “DiSH News”.  Then, when you read that “third party analysis” click the advertising link above the blog that linked there.  Yep, they’re that clumsy over there.  Not too smart either.

There is a reason why DiSH CEO Charlie Ergen bought up all that advertising space over the weekend and how you saw him spewing the virtues of DiSH network.  He knows the company looks bad in this particular spat.  I’ll never be a DiSH network customer because they took away programming that I paid for and I’m not even a subscriber.

Morons.  Stuff like this just makes me drink more…thanks for annoying the hell out of me DiSH network – utter BS.
