No idea what's going to happen today. There could be all kinds of big deals, but there's also a good chance that nothing happens at all. What an obvious statement.

Here's what Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren had to say about the JVR for Luke Schenn trade.
This was on the Flyers charter plane as they prepared to take off. Keep in mind, the FLyers could have held this at CONSOL Energy Center at the NHL Draft, but waited till they got on the plane to tell the media there had been a trade:

With the 20th pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, the Philadelphia Flyers select.......Scott Laughton, Center, Oshawa Generals, OHL
You can check out an in-depth profile of Laughton here. And here's a brief scouting report on the young Center.
"Oshawa’s hardworking center, Scott Laughton’s eye-opening late-season efforts have pushed him from a second-day certainty to a...
The Philadelphia Flyers acquired defenseman Luke Schenn from the Toronto Maple Leafs for forward James van Riemsdyk on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Schenn should help replace the void created by the loss of captain Chris Pronger, who is unlikely to return because of post-concussion symptoms. Schenn has 14 goals and 61 assists for 75 points in four seasons. He's the older brother...
In what seems to be the current trend in NHL trades, for the second time in two days brothers have been united in playing for the same team. While yesterday there was little surprise in Jordan Staal being traded to the Carolina Hurricanes to play with his brother Eric, few expected Luke and Brayden Schenn to both be members of the Philadelphia Flyers at the end of the second day...
Once again, the goaltending position is the spotlight in Philadelphia. No longer in a starring role, but the spotlight is between the pipes regardless. The Flyers traded backup goalie Sergei Bobrovsky to the Columbus Blue Jackets for three draft picks. Columbus sent the 45th pick (second round) and 117th pick (fourth round) in the 2012 draft along with a fourth-round pick in the...
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Philadelphia Flyers have traded goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to the Columbus Blue Jackets for three draft choices.
The Flyers received second- and fourth-round picks in this weekend's NHL draft as well as a fourth-round choice next year.
The Blue Jackets get the promising Bobrovsky, who went 42-23-10 with a 2.73 goals-against average and .909 save percentage...
The NHL put out the league's schedule today, here is the 2012-2013 Philadelphia Flyers schedule, courtesy of the Flyers website:
The Flyers will begin their season at home on October 11th versus the Boston Bruins. Just a week later the Flyers will face the Penguins for the first time since we eliminated them.
Is this the year?
The trashing and scapegoating of Ilya Bryzgalov over the past year has been carried to such ridiculous proportions that I think a little counterweight is in order to present a more realistic and balanced picture both of his 2011-12 season and prospects moving forward.
No one would tell you that Bryzgalov had the type of season that the team hoped to see. He was extremely inconsistent...
Though unproven, the Columbus Blue Jackets saw fit to trade for backup Philadelphia Flyers’ goalie Sergei Bobrovsky on draft day.
They gave up the 45th and 117th overall picks in this year’s draft, as well as Phoenix’s fourth round pick in next year’s selection.
Bobrovsky has a career goals against average of 2.73 and career save percentage of .909.
Throughout the day and evening today, I will keep a running blog on Flyers-related happenings in and around the 2012 NHL Draft. I'll leave the rumors to Ek but will update and comment if and when something substantive takes place.
The Flyers are always at the center of blockbuster trade rumors at the Draft, and this year is no exception. I'm sure the Rick Nash and Bobby...

In the days leading up to the NHL Draft, rumors abounded regarding the Philadelphia Flyers and their first round selection.
They would trade up to an earlier spot in the first round. They would trade their first round pick for Rick Nash. Or Bobby Ryan. Or even Keith Yandle. But if they kept their pick...
Quick hit. Another blog on the heals of this one..
*The Flyers have traded Bobrovsky to Columbus for three picks, including a second rounder. Philly denies the deal done and also confirmed that it would not be part of a bigger deal (aka NASH)
*There are reports out of Montreal that the Habs will take Finnish prospect Teravainen...If they do they will have their best Finnish...
