ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled left wing Kyle Calder from the Bakersfield Condors, Anaheim’s development affiliate in the ECHL.
Calder, 30 (1/5/79), scored 3-3=6 points with a +4 rating in five games with Bakersfield this season. Signed by Anaheim to a one-year contract and assigned to Bakersfield on Oct. 28, Calder attended the Ducks’ 2009 Training Camp on a tryout basis in September, going scoreless with two penalty minutes (PIM) in four games. The Manville, Alberta native, who was released from his tryout on Sept. 26, spent the 2008-09 regular season with Los Angeles, recording 8-19=27 points with 41 PIM in 74 games.
