Anaheim Ducks forward Teemu Selanne left Tuesday night’s game with an injury to his face and did not return, as per the team’s official Twitter account. The injury occurred early in the 3rd period when Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn got his stick up into Selanne’s face. He was bleeding heavily as he left the ice. No penalty was called on the play. The 43-year-old veteran has been playing well for the Ducks, as he always has. He has played in 11 games this season, and has 3 goals and 4 assists. He’s averaging 14:34 TOI and plays a lot of powerplay minutes. He has 2 points on the man-advantage so far this year. As per Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register, Selanne lost several teeth and has a bloody and swollen mouth.  The Ducks continue their season-high eight game roadtrip Thursday night in Boston. It is unclear at this point if he will miss any games. The team is already missing Jakob Silfverberg for several weeks and Saku Koivu‘s status is unclear at this point. ...
