Thoughts on Both Teams

The Edmonton Oilers enter this game off a shootout loss against the Phoenix Coyotes. Tuesday night starts a four game southeastern road trip that ends Sunday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. In the last 10 games, the Oilers are 3-5-2. Edmonton has recently signed Tyler Bunz, who played with the Medicine Hat Tigers in the WHL. Bunz has had a great season in the WHL, and could be in the NHL next season. Edmonton super-star, Taylor Hall is now day-to-day with a concussion. Hall will be out against Nashville. Ben Eager is also out with a back injury. Eager is day-to-day, and I don't expect him to be out as well.

The Nashville Predators enter this game off a comeback, 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center Sunday night. Nashville's record in the last ten games is 6-3-1. The Predators are glad to be back home after a long road trip on the West Coast. They are even happier to know that they jumped Detroit in the standings, and now have a game in hand on them. The goal now is to keep home ice and catch St. Louis, who is eight points ahead, but Nashville has a game in hand on them as well. News on Alex Radulov has leaked as he could be in Nashville watching the game tonight according to a source. Should be interesting how things pan out. I am doubtful that Roman Josi and Paul Gaustad, upper body injuries, will be back in the line-up.
