The Dallas Stars signed Pittsburgh Penguins enforcer Eric Godard to a two-year deal today. In year one, the contract will pay Godard $750k at the NHL level, but just $105k he is assigned to the AHL. In the second year, Godard will receive $700k regardless of where he plays. The 31-year-old played 19 games for the Penguins last season, accumulating three assists and 105 PIMs. The Pittsburgh Penguins may still be looking to add a player like Godard to their roster at the right price. Some notables left on the free agent market include Eric Boulton (WIN), Cam Janssen (STL) and David Koci (COL).
