Flyers invite Lindros to Winter Classic

When the news was released that the Flyers would be hosting this season’s Winter Classic, the excitement and buzz it created was certainly noticeable. However, there are several other games being played on the rink at Citizens Bank, including a Phantoms against Bears matchup and an alumni game. The alumni game may have just caught up to the Winter Classic game hype this evening for Flyers fans. In an exclusive interview with Justin (@JustinTHW) at thehockeywriters.com, former Flyer great Eric Lindros confirmed that he has received an invite from Flyers’ GM Paul Holmgren to participate in the alumni game. In the interview, Lindros talked about the current state of the NHL, his time with the Flyers, and possibly playing at Citizens Bank Park this winter.
