Despite the 0-2 start, hockey fans in New York are geared up about the NHL season. According to TiqIQ, New York Rangers tickets are currently among the most expensive NHL tickets in the league, at an average price of $241 dollars on the secondary market. This is up 44% over last year’s average ticket price of $174 dollars.
Excitement is high for the Rangers, and with good reason. Over the past three seasons, New York has climbed from missing the playoffs, to barely sneaking into the playoffs, to finishing tied for the most wins in the NHL last year.
