It looks like Stars center Vernon Fiddler will miss at least this week with the upper body injury he suffered in Saturday’s 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. “He’s going to be out with an upper body [injury] for at least this week,” said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. “We’ll see where he is at the end of this week.” Fiddler left Saturday’s game in the first period and did not return. His injury is the third one to hit the Stars recently. Defenseman Stephane Robidas is out 4-6 months with a broken leg and defenseman Trevor Daley is out several weeks with an ankle injury. “Every team deals with it,” Ruff said. “Early on we didn’t deal with a lot and now we’ve dealt with two pretty serious ones on the backend. It doesn’t look like Fidds will be a long time, so it’s something we’ve got to get through, other guys have to elevate their play and fill bigger holes.” With Fiddler out, Ruff will have to shuffle his lines.
