It was setting up to be a great day for Ottawa Senators defenseman Matt Carkner(notes). His team entered tonight's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on an 11-game winning streak and he was scheduled to be featured on Elliotte Friedman's "Inside Hockey" segment on the Hockey Night in Canada pre-game show. Besides the game being another edition of the "Battle of Ontario", one small storyline was the recent history between Carkner and Leafs tough guy Colton Orr(notes). The two had squared off twice already this season with the 6'3, 200 lbs. Orr winning by KO in November and then a month later the 6'4, 231 lbs.
