The kid played at Dartmouth for a year, where my stepfather went. Yes, I spent a good portion of my youth at Thompson Arena in Hanover, N.H., pounding on the glass at Dartmouth hockey games, rooting on the Big Green. I sold cokes in the stands of Memorial Field for Big Green football games. But it wouldn’t have mattered if Galiardi was a former Big Green player or not. He deserved an A for what I thought was a tremendous season. I thought “Gally” was perhaps the team’s winner of the Huey Lewis “Heart and Soul” award.
