You could tell from the opening face-off when the tough guys line-up against each other, last night was going to have a different feel from Game 1. And boy did it ever.

Apparently, the Senators were less than excited about Brian Boyle's multiple jabs to the face of Kris Karlsson in Game 1 as evidence by this...

Inexplicably, Brandon Dubinsky was given a game misconduct for being the third man in to a one man fight. And he didn't react well to the news...

Later on in the period, Chris Neil didn't feel Carkner did a good enough job sending a message to Boyle so he did this...

Real impressed with Boyle's ability to stand up for himself. Quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

John Tortorella had a Jack Adams-like season this year, but he was out-coached last night as for some reason Rupp and Bickel were stapled to the bench while Neil and Konopka were allowed to run roughshod all over the ice which led to the Ranger skill players being more concerned about combating the Senators toughness than adding on to their 2-1 lead which ultimately cost them.
