Calgary Flames defenseman Chris Butler suffered a sizable laceration on his thigh during Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. Butler was able to keep his sense of humor after he collided with goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff during the second period. "Unfortunately, I came to find out Kipper likes his skates pretty sharp," Butler told the Calgary Herald after receiving 30 stitches. “It could have been worse. Very little muscle damage and nothing wrong with the tendon — I can still move my leg and things like that. Especially in that area — with muscles and tendons and ligaments all kind of being attached in that region — it was a little nerve-racking." Butler is expected to miss at least three weeks with the injury.
