For the second time in the last 15-years, the Florida Panthers will host the NHL Entry Draft, the Florida Panthers, Sunrise Sports & Entertaining and National Hockey League announced today.
The two-day 2015 NHL Draft event will take place at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., on June 26-27, 2015 in front of more than 15,000 fans.
“The Draft is where the future of the NHL begins to take place, and the BB&T Center is an ideal setting in which to enjoy the excitement as we welcome our next generation of stars,” NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said. “Vinnie Viola, Doug Cifu, Michael Yormark, the Panthers‘ fans and the South Florida community will be outstanding hosts to our Clubs, our media and our incoming class of 2015 draftees.”

The Panthers have struggled to fill the seats at BB&T Center as much as they have struggled to put together a winning team. Motivated by money or not, having a league-wide event will certainly help pay some bills.
