A day after Colorado's Darcy Tucker(notes) was taken off the ice on a stretcher after being hit from being by Carolina's Tuomo Ruutu(notes), another scary incident took place in Philadelphia involving Mike Richards(notes) of the Flyers and Florida's David Booth(notes).Towards the end of the second period, Booth was bringing the puck into the Flyers zone when he looked back as he was making a drop pass. A split-second later, Richards was cutting across and caught Booth's head with his upper left arm, knocking him out cold. Richards was given a five-minute major for interference and a game misconduct. There will be plenty of debate over how long a potential suspension could be for the Flyers captain. Panthers GM Randy Sexton was not happy about the play saying, "Those types of hits have no place in the game."
