The Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins do not like each other. Not at all. In fact, they flat out hate each other. Despise. Loathe. Any word you can think of, that is how the two teams from Pennsylvania feel toward one another.
Claude Giroux is simply looking to add a little bit more fuel to this never ending fire on the ice.
Well, that is understandable. Flyers fans – as well as many fans throughout the NHL – already root against Crosby. Giroux is just trying to give them a few more reasons as to why they should continue this trend.
While many people remember the first round series in the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Flyers and Penguins for high scoring and an overall lack of defense, certain fans will remember two key events, which both happen to revolve around Giroux and Crosby.

Claude Giroux had surgery on both of his wrists after the Flyers were eliminated from the playoffs last season, and now the assistant captain says Sidney Crosby is the reason why.

So Claude Giroux had surgeries on both of his wrists this offseason and when he was asked what the cause of the injuries were he blamed it all on Sidney Crosby. There’s an entire Giroux love shrine on some Canadian wilderness site that rivals the one Helga had for Arnold but ProHockeyTalk will save you the time and just goes straight to the Giroux/Crosby angle.
Giroux comments sure to incite another season of Pens-Flyers rivalry
In the history of the Flyers' franchise, the club has never had a player win the Calder Trophy. That's not say there have not been numerous candidates worthy of consideration, including Matt Read (24 goals, 47 points) and Sean Couturier (stellar defensive play, 13 goals, 27 points) last season.
A year ago, the Flyers got significant contributions from seven different...
Welcome to Julylights, a month long series taking the top plays of the '11-'12 season and giving them to you one a day, every day of the month of July. Yesterday we mentioned that if there was a winner of "Julylights" it would be Patrick Kane because of his multiple appearances on the countdown. On the other hand, if there was a loser selected, it would probably...
