Looks like Obama might win Pennsylvania. Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin dropped the puck at the Flyers home opener and got just the reaction everyone would expect from Flyers fans: boos! Yeah, there was a mix of cheering and booing, but from what I could hear, the crowd reacted much more negatively then positively. The Flyers arena was pumped full of music as she was being introduced, likely because they knew what kind of reaction she would get, and that helped to drown out the crowd's reaction.
I still don't understand why the Flyers would put themselves in this situation for their home opener. Talk about a negative way to start a season.

Well, that's not the best way to start a season.
The 2008/2009 campaign started off a little rough for the Flyers, what with Sarah Palin receiving a mountain of boos and the Flyers falling behind by 4 goals in the first period, but the Flyers were able to fight back to makes things interesting before they fell to the Rangers, 4-3.

Flyers drop the puck tonight!
With everything else that's been going on, it's easy to forget that the Flyers will start their season tonight against the Rangers. Philly Fan, doing what they best...Oh, and kudos for this moment of great character. The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, "How dare they boo Piper!"Um, lady? We dare. Now, back to the ash heap of history...

As for VA, yeah been there. One of the friendliest states to go. But honestly, not the brightest. There are many who think Philly is the worst place. I've heard that about many of the states I've visited and have learned to see for myself. I would put Philly in the 60 percentile, but I don't live there!
P.S. Seriously Texas was the dumbest state I've ever visited, and I now live in AZ so that's saying a lot as AZ is not too bright either (and very enviornmentally un-friendly)!
I agree with this one!!!
