The Buffalo Sabres got the best of the Flyers earlier this season in a 5-2 Flyers' loss on Jan. 20.
This week from hockey hell has one last chapter to it. After losses to the Rangers, Penguins and now the Bruins yesterday, the Flyers have one last game against four of the better Eastern Conference teams that scheduling could throw at them all in one week. They host the Buffalo Sabres before two days off from game action.
This has certainly not been a week to remember for the Flyers. In fact, if the Flyers should miss the playoffs, even by just a handful of points, this might be the week to look back on when remembering the season that wasn't.
A strong first period against the Rangers ends with Ryan Callahan scoring a goal that should just never happen. The rest of the game goes to the Rangers.
An incredible first period of dominance goes to waste as the comfort level grows to become too much and the Flyers squander a three-goal lead to their cross-state rivals, the Penguins.
