With just 22.5 seconds remaining in regulation, Brandon Dubinsky added to this year’s growing list of late-game playoff heroics to send his Columbus Blue Jackets to overtime. And under three minutes into the extra session, Nick Foligno notched his first-ever postseason goal – a goal that he predicted in the locker room prior to OT – to even the series with Pittsburgh at 2-2.
Oh, and the Jackets allowed three goals in the first 11 minutes of the game, so the franchise’s first home playoff win was secured in dramatic fashion with four unanswered goals. Not bad for a team whose only prior second-season appearance was ended in a sweep by the Red Wings in 2009.
Craig Adams, Chris Kunitz, and James Neal all joined in on the early onslaught, scoring in a 5:01 span to bury the Blue Jackets early. But the sellout Columbus crowd, affectionately known as the 5th Line, remained loud ...

Columbus, OH -- If they didn't do it the hard way it wouldn't be Blue Jackets hockey.

When I was in college, I was taught that the first line of anything you write should be something that captures the reader and makes them want to continue reading about whatever you’re writing about. Well to hell with that. I have no words. None. Zilch. Nada. Ever since Nick Foligno‘s goal in overtime to…
from Aaron Portzline of Puck-Rakers,
Nationwide Arena is mostly empty this morning, save for a few workers milling about. Blue Jackets coaches arrived early to do what they do -- review film, get updates on injured players, strategize for Saturday's Game 5 -- but players were given a day off to rest weary legs and bruised bones.
Still, there was an afterglow in Nationwide...

In each of the games previous these two combatants blew 3-1 advantages. Tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins held what is typically considered...

This one is so rich, so textured, with so many story lines - it almost transcends description. On the one hand, it encompassed a lot of the emotions that Blue Jackets fans have experienced since Day 1 -- hope, anticipation, disappointment . . . and ultimately despair. However, on this night, with this team, those same fans saw tenacity, drive . . . and vindication, the hallmarks...
