The Canucks have signed Port Coquitlam native Zach Hamill a centre and left winger Colin Stuart.
Hamill 24 is a former eighth-overall pick of Boston in the 2007 NHL entry draft while Stuart 31 is a career minor leaguer who last season played for the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Elite League.
Both are expected to play for the Canucks’ AHL farm club in Utica.
Hamill who led the WHL in scoring in the 2006-07 season signed a two-way deal with Vancouver that pays him $550000 in the NHL and $75000 in the minors. He’s looking to resurrect his career after getting into just 20 NHL games in five seassons as a professional.
“I had to change my game” said Hamill. “I became more of a complete player more versatility.”
