One of Toronto’s most beloved captains is back in his old stomping grounds. That’s right, Mats Sundin will be back in Toronto. It’s said the very private Sundin owns property in Toronto, but lives most of the year in Miami. Mats Sundin will be back in Toronto this week. But not for anything ground-breaking that we know of. He'll be doing some volunteer work with the Leafs and head out to London to check out the Knights and Tie Domi's son, Max. And if you’re a Leafs fan, he’s not in town for any role in hockey operations. Or, at least, none that we know of. He will however be teaming up with a department of the Leafs: the Team Up Foundation. Sundin will visit a pre-kindergarten to eight-grade school on Thursday for a Shape Up program followed by a skating clinic on Friday at Angela James Arena. However, in his return to the Toronto area, he will trek out west Friday for the ceremonial puck drop at the London Knights game. But more importantly, he’ll be checking out his old teammates’ son play.. That being the 16-year-old Max Domi, son of Tie Domi. Max is on fire so far in his rookie year with eight goals and eight assists in 14 games. He’s a sure candidate for rookie of the year. Article written by Matt Wilson.
