Found August 26, 2013 on Fox Sports:
The New Jersey Devils have re-signed center Adam Henrique to a new multi-year contract. Henrique, 23, will enter his third NHL season in September, and will be counted on heavily on a team light on offense. Henrique had 11 goals and 16 points in 42 games last season with New Jersey, after a memorable rookie season with the Devils in 2011-12. Henrique was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team that season, and finished third in voting for the Calder Trophy, given to the league's top rookie. He posted 51 points that season, and scored the overtime winner in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals vs. the New York Rangers, securing New Jersey's fifth trip to the Stanley Cup Finals. A native of Brantford, Ontario, Henrique made his NHL debut April 11, 2011 vs. Boston. He was the No. 82 selection in the 2008 NHL Draft. New Jersey is seeking to bounce back from a disappointing shortened season in which the Devils failed to make the playoffs. In July, they lost forwards Ilya Kovalchuk to retirement, and David Clarkson to Toronto via free agency.

As the Olympics approach, former New Jersey Devils star Ilya Kovalchuk voiced his support of the anti-gay propaganda laws currently under fire in Russia.

History, government dictate what Kovalchuk and Datsyuk say

I swear to be true to the Lord, Grand Prince, and his realm, to the young Grand Princes, and to the Grand Princess, and not to maintain silence about any evil that I may know or have heard or may hear which is being contemplated against the Tsar, his realms, the young princes or the Tsaritsa. GARTH: Bridge Deal, Or No Deal?

I'm officially perplexed. The news of the New Jersey Devils signing their 23 year old RFA center Adam Hnerique to a six year, $24 million deal has me face palming myself. On Friday night, Rangers GM Glen Sather said on Edmonton radio that he will not be signing his RFA forward Derek Stepan to a long term deal. Stepan will get a bridge deal, or will sit out. On Saturday...
