LOVELAND — Trailing 3-2 in the Central Hockey League’s championship series against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, the Colorado Eagles brought in retired Avalanche captain Adam Foote to drop the ceremonial first puck before Game 6 tonight and Avalanche game regular Jake Schroeder also sang the national anthem.
And voila, the Eagles are ahead 5-1 after two periods at the Budweiser Events Center. So barring a devastating collapse, there will be a Game 7 in the series for the Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup on Friday night in Loveland. Scott May, Aaron Schneekloth, Kevin Ulanski, Adam Chorneyko and Daymen Rycroft have the goals for the Eagles, who are playing in front of their 310th consecutive sellout in the 5,289-seat arena.
