The Predators started the season off with a bang last night as Suter/Halischuk/Craig Smith all got on the board in a 3-2 win against the Blue Jackets. They’ll be continuing their road “Home Opening” extravaganza with the second of their back-to-back games this weekend by taking on the St. Louis Blues tonight in St. Louis as the Blues open their season against Nashville.
Looking at the Blues: St. Louis brought in veterans Jason Arnott (a former Predator) and Jamie Langenbrunner to help lead their young players in their development, yet what people may forget about the Blues is they still have a world-class goaltender in Jaroslav Halak, plus their roster doesn’t contain a bunch of flops either. Nashville has to match up against Backes, Berglund, Jackman, Oshie, Shattenkirk, Steen, Stewart, and more. So it should definitely be an interesting night.
