  The Bruins offense was anemic once again tonight in a 2-1 loss to Montreal at TD Garden. The Bruins lone goal was actually put into the net by a member of the Montreal Canadiens, Tomas Plekanec. The Montreal forward won a face off through his legs and directly into the Habs net to give the Bruins an early 1-0 lead. Plekanec, however, made up for it in the third period with the game winning goal at 9:14 of the frame, after Erik Cole tied the game at one apiece previously. The loss comes as a frustrating one for Boston, who has simply not had any consistency since the season began in early October. Tim Thomas made 33 saves for the Bruins, while Carey Price stopped 29 shots. Brad Marchand and P.K. Subban mixed it up late in the second period, after a series of altercations between the two agitators ultimately lead to fisticuffs after two minor penalties apiece.
