  By now it’s common knowledge that Gregory Campbell will miss an extended period of time due to a fracture in his foot that was suffered when he blocked a shot in a 5-3 win against the Blue Jackets on Saturday. The Bruins will certainly miss their fourth line centerman while he’s absent, but given the performance of Zach  Hamill last night, they may not miss him as much as we think. Hamill assisted on Rich Peverley’s first period goal and was in great position defensively all night long, forcing multiple turnovers on the fore check. This is yet another result of the Bruins depth and balance. Boston posted a shut out in the absence of their captain and best defenseman in Zdeno Chara, and they have managed to win games in the absence of players such as Daniel Paille, Campbell, and now Big Z. Peter Chiarelli has assembled a hockey club that is filled with solid, competitive players from top to bottom, from the minor leagues to the big club, and as a result, the Bruins are even better ...
