With their third move so far of the first day of free agent frenzy, the Nashville Predators have signed center Matt Hendricks to a four-year deal worth $7.4 million; $1.85 million per season. Last season, Hendricks was a part of the Washington Capitals and played all 48 games in the nation's capital. Hendricks was originally drafted by the Predators in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, but never played a game for them. The 6'0 32 year old can play third or fourth line minutes and provides energy by playing physical hockey -- certainly what the doctor ordered. Last season, Hendricks totaled eight points (5g, 3a) and led his team in penalty minutes with 73. Take a look at his advanced stats.
