It took four stabs, but New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has finally been crowned the best goalie in the National Hockey League by winning the 2011-12 Vezina Trophy.

At age 30, Lundqvist led his Broadway Blueshirts to a 51-24-7 record which placed them first in the Eastern Conference and second in the entire League during this past season. After 62 games played, Henrik finished with a remarkable goals against average of 1.97 and a save percentage of .930 - the best duo of numbers he has ever put up as a goaltender in the NHL.

Lundqvist went up against some tough competition in Jonathan Quick of the L.A. Kings and Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators, who had career years in their own right. However, it was finally time for Henrik to be rewarded for his incomparable efforts between the pipes for New York and he gave the the League general managers, who select the winner of the Vezina, a damn good reason to vote his name in the ballot.

Oh, and not only did Henrik win the Vezina, but he blatantly dropped an F-bomb during his acceptance speech as well. Forget King, this man is a god.
