Brule, a center for the Edmonton Oilers, and his girlfriend were heading to a park to walk their German Shepherd when they passed a pair of men thumbing for a ride near the West Vancouver Yacht club. Brule’s girlfriend, Kelsey Nichols, was the one driving at the time, and being the sensible person she is, didn’t want to pick up the hitchhikers.
But her boyfriend was sure one of them was U2′s Bono, and made her stop and pick them up. Turns out Brule has a keen eye for wandering Irish frontmen.
