(InGoalMag.com) After suffering from vertigo in the 2011 NHL All-Star game and with his season ruined, it appears that Jonas Hiller has fully recovered from his freak accident. Hiller is back with the Anaheim Ducks and is the clear cut starter for them in this shortened season.  The Swiss netminder has been an interesting goalie in his NHL career. There have been streaks of really good play from him and then there have been streaks of bad play from him. The injury, as mentioned earlier, really set him back last season. Around the Ducks organization, it was what they called a "recovery season" for Hiller. Hiller is one of the odd goalies with a right handed glove, aka south paw. It isn't his strength, but is a minor disadvantage to shooters because they will not be used to the south paw style. On his left is his blocker, the strength of Hiller.  Rarely Hiller is caught out of position because, like Henrik Lundqvist, Hiller plays deep in his crease. He doesn't play an aggressive style, but rather sits back and waits to see what develops out of the play. That is a disadvantage when pucks are at the point and in the outside because he can't cut down the angle nearly as much. Here is how to beat Jonas Hiller. Glove Side: Shoot on his glove side, which is his right hand. Different compared to many other goalies. Quick shots: Even though Hiller is rarely out or position, that doesn't mean he is quick. Quick shots after a cross-ice pass will get past him because he isn't quick enough post to post. Players in front: Hiller has a tendency to not honor players in front of him. A player like Patric Hornqvist with great deflection ability and heads straight to the net, will succeed against Hiller.   Jonas Hiller's 2012-13 stats Name W L OT GAA SV % #1 Jonas Hiller 2 1 0 4.00 .864 Jonas Hiller's career vs Nashville Name W L OT GAA SV % #1 Jonas Hiller 3 8 0 2.79 .912
