GLENDALE, AZ - OCTOBER 10: Rick Nash #61 of the Columbus Blue Jackets skates up to a face off during the NHL game against the Phoenix Coyotes at Jobing.com Arena on October 10, 2009 in Glendale, Arizona. The Blue Jackets defeated the Coyotes 2-0. (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)
Unfortunately for you guys, I can't see you through my computer so here's some more Rick Nash nonsense from Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch...

"One phone call could get the deal done, Howson has noted. Boston, Detroit, the New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and San Jose are all on Nash's approved list, but the Rangers and Flyers would appear to have the most expendable assets (meaning, forwards) to pull off the trade."

Pierre LeBrun at ESPN echoes Portzline by stating the Rangers remain the most natural trade partner for the Blue Jackets.

...i know it's frustrating everyone, but Sather has been around the block and his strategy to wait Howson out is a smart one. No reason for Sather to cave to Howson's demands when Ryan and Doan can still be had at a cheaper price. Howson has a disgruntled star that he needs to unload and once he has scared every team away with his ridiculous demands he will have no choice but to lower his asking price.

And Arthur Staple at Newsday seems to agree with me...

"It's one big game of chicken between the Rangers, the Jackets and Nash, and the Rangers have believed since back in January, when Glen Sather first inquired about Nash, that patience will win out. That Nash wants to come to New York and Howson's high demands will have to come down before the 2012-13 season begins."

...i know it's impossible for New York sports fans to be patient, but that's just what we'll have to do.

Finally, Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park feels this is a huge year for Stu Bickel...

"Sauer's injury opens a door for the newly re-signed Stu Bickel because Bickel's size and physical play could move him up the depth charts. Bickel is really going to need a strong off-season and an even stronger training camp to hopefully earn John Tortorella's confidence as well as the playing time that would go along with it.

It's up to Stu Bickel to realize he needs to not just knock on the door of opportunity but kick it off it's hinges. Bickel has to force John Tortorella to play him by his own efforts."

...couldn't agree more with Jess. Stu has been given a huge opportunity to stick with the Rangers for the near future with both Sauer and McIlrath's statuses in doubt. With Torts already lacking confidence in Bickel, if he falters I see him swiftly being replaced by an outside the organization tough guy.
