When Vancouver Canucks fans aren't flipping cars for silly reasons, they actually have a great sense of humor. Evidentally in the picture, we may have the most perfect timing in NHL history. Following being injured by "delicious pancakes," as Los Angeles Kings Dustin Penner takes a seat on the bench, he is welcomed by Aunt Jemima's syrup.

Of course Penner is going along with the story of humiliation. It is the best chance he will ever get to a sponsorship (IHOP or Dennys) to have those delicious, injury-inducing, treats for life. Follow me @TravisHouser

Vancouver Canucks Fans Give Dustin Penner The Syrup

Syrup Can Be Kept In  Fridge For UP To 1 Year Four or five days ago ESPN first broke the story about LA Kings forward Dustin Penner and his now famous PANCAKE injury. I had no idea a stack of pancakes could cause such a slick mess, but it has, and on Tuesday the Vancouver Canucks fans let him have it. Allegedly Penner and his weak back went out while “eating” pancakes. At least...

Pancakes fan Dustin Penner autographed box of Aunt Jemima; there’s syrup behind Kings bench

Pancakes are the best thing to happen to (a) breakfast and (b) Los Angeles Kings forward Dustin Penner. There was his "open letter" response...

Oilers beat the Kings 2-1 in OT When Dustin Penner saw his return date to the Edmonton on this season’s schedule, he could not have known it would be in the wake of the #pennercakes fiasco. While Oilers’ dressing room attendant Joey Moss was excited to see his very good friend return for the sake of seeing him, Penner’s former teammates were excited to make light of the past...

Ryan Kesler’s Teflon is starting to wear off in Vancouver
