When the Penguins and Senators met the day after Thanksgiving it was a family feast. The Michalek brothers went head-to-head and so did Geno Malkin and his best bud, and former landlord, Sergei Gonchar. When the same teams meet tonight at 7:30 on Canadian soil things are going to be different. Thanks to the injury epidemic that’s sweeping the nation, Milan Michalek (concussion) and Sarge (upper body) will both sit this one out. Zbynek Michalek is battling a concussion too – he was supposed to make his return tonight but the call up of Alex Picard says otherwise. Jordan Staal or Joe Vitale might not suit up either so the Pens called up big Eric Tangradi just in case. Even with all the mangled bodies, the Pens should still be able to handle the .500 Sens on the road. 32 points has the Sens sitting in dead last in the Northeast and their not going to get any better with their leading goal scorer and a top defenseman on the IR.
