In a stunning late night twist, Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla has been dealt to the Pittsburgh Penguins and not the Boston Bruins like many had been speculating throughout the night. The Pittsburgh Penguins will give up college players Kenneth Agostino, Ben Hanowski, and a first round pick for the Flames captain and future hall of famer. Reports throughout the night had linked Iginla to the Bruins with the Bruins preparing to give up Alexander Khokhlachev, Matt Bartkowski, and a first round pick, but ultimately in the end the luster of playing alongside Sidney Crosby and Evegeni Malkin was too much for Iginla to pass up as he chases that elusive first Stanley Cup. The choice in the end was all Iginla's as he felt that the Penguins gave him a better shot at winning. Iginla leaves Calgary as the franchise's career leader in scoring with 525 goals and 570 assists in 1219 games with the Flames.
