The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that their annual development camp will be hosted at CONSOL Energy Center from July 16th through July 20th. Fans will be permitted to attend the final scrimmage on July 20th at 3:00 PM. A complete roster has not been made available just yet, but some of the big names have been announced. Young defensemen Derrick Pouliot, Scott Harrington, Olli Maatta, and Brian Dumoulin headline a very talented group on the blue line. Two great goaltenders will be attending as well. Tristan Jarry, the Penguins’ top pick of the 2013 NHL Draft, will participate in the camp in addition to Eric Hartzell, who was signed by Pittsburgh in April after he led Quinnipiac University to the Frozen Four in Pittsburgh. Only one forward has been announced, which is Oskar Sundqvist, who was Pittsburgh’s third-round draft pick in 2012. This year’s coaching staff will include John Hynes, Alain Nasreddine, Tom Fitzgerald, Bill Guerin, Mike Bales, Mike Kadar, and Joe Lorincz. Stay tuned for more details for this year’s development camp as they come out.
