During an interview with Jim Cerny at Blueshirts United, CT Whale Head Coach Ken Gernander discussed what has made early season pleasant surprise Kyle Jean so successful...
"His willingness to get in those dirty areas, those scoring areas. And then the ability to finish it off. Now if you want to look long term, part of the process, what we're going to be looking for is to be able to do that on a consistant basis."
The 6' 7' Jean has 3g, 3a in four games this season.
...before the season started I was hoping that big bodied Marek Hrivik would have the breakout season, but it looks like his fellow towering teammate Jean has stolen his thunder.
...my favorite part of what Gernander said is that Jean is willing to go into the dirty areas to score. Haven't seen too many physical forwards willing to take the punishment to score come through the Rangers organization over the last decade.
