The Blackhawks lost their eighth consecutive game in a pretty lifeless effort against the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday. But there was one positive to pull, at it didn’t have anything to do with the guys on the ice. Prior to the game, the Coyotes inducted Jeremy Roenick into their Ring of Honor. He joined fellow former Coyote Keith Tkachuk, who was also inducted earlier this year. Roenick spent five seasons with the Coyotes, from 1996 to 2001, before rejoining the team for the 2006-2007 season. He helped put the Coyotes on the map as an NHL franchise. But anyone who knows Jeremy Roenick knows that his heart is really in Chicago. He thanked the Hawks for being a part of the ceremony and now is hoping that the Blackhawks will go the route of the Coyotes and immortalize him at the United Center.
