After 15 straight starts, Ryan Miller is finally getting a well-deserved rest from the net. Ron Rolston announced early today that backup goaltender Jhonas Enroth will indeed start tonight’s contest against the New Jersey Devils in Newark.
It’s Enroth’s first start since he gave up three first period goals to Ottawa on February 5th.
Dating back to November 2011, Enroth has lost 12 straight starts (0-10-2). This year, Enroth is 0-2-0 with a 4.75 goals against average and a .847 save percentage. It has people wondering whether or not this season could be his last in Buffalo as he is set to become a free agent this summer.
It’s safe to assume that his final chance to earn a spot to remain in Buffalo begins tonight against a New Jersey team that has lost its last six contests.

Cody Hodgson skates through defense, scores
The great majority of the Buffalo Sabres’ highlight goals this year, have come by way of Thomas Vanek. Tuesday night, Vanek’s linemate Cody Hodgson got into the act after he pick-pocketed Eric Staal. Following the theft, Hodgson toe-dragged (hockey term) between Staal and fellow Hurricane Jiri Tlusty. Then, a man-on-a-mission-Pavel-Datsyuk-style, Hodgson skated through Alexander...

Sabres LW Leino close to returning from hip injury
Buffalo Sabres forward Ville Leino could be ready to make his season debut as early as next week after missing the first 25 games with an injury to his right hip.

Leino practiced...
Brodeur And His Back

GARTH: Collapse
One of these days, the Sabres are going to play a 60 minute hockey game.
They played a valiant first 53 minutes in Newark, then they took a seven minute nap.
