The Hawks are far from the odds-on favorites to come out of the West, or even to advance to the second round.
That said, there is ample reason for optimism right now.
First, the Hawks are 11-2-3 since the trade deadlineâand that's without their captain and arguably their best all-around player in all situations, Jonathan Toews.
