Jonathan Toews had a goal and an assist tonight. Not mention a shootout goal to boot, but defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk scored the decisive goal in the sixth round of a shootout as the St. Louis Blues came back to defeat Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks. With the tiebreaker knotted 3-3, Shattenkirk beat Corey Crawford with a wrist shot high on the goalie’s left side. Captain Serious and the Blackhawks really should have won this game; especially when considering the 36-22 shots on goal disparity. Crawford had a good game, but Toews was the only one of the “three stars” from Chicago. And on Jonathan Toews bobblehead night too. Toews fought off two Blues defenders to tie the game 1-1 on a rebound at 3:18 of the second, just 19 seconds after Chicago had killed a penalty. Toews also set up Saad’s goal that made it 2-1 just 2:27 later.
