After 46 shots and 11 games, Phil Kessel has scored his first goal on the season, and what a crucial goal it was. Kessel`s goal came with less then five minutes remaining in the third and ended up being the decisive goal as the Leafs won the game. This is how my night on Twitter went...Down 2-1 in the third with less than 10 minutes remaining...-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Then Matt Frattin scored his 6th of the year to tie the game at two!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Just 52 seconds later, Kessel gave the Leafs the lead and Twitter exploded...------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What a crazy game for the Leafs. The win gives them a 6-5 record and places them 7th in the Eastern Conference (which makes me wish Gary Bettman would shorten the season to 11 games).James Reimer had another great game in net making 23 saves after facing 25 shots. We all thought goaltending would be the biggest issue coming into the season for the Leafs, but both Reimer and Scrivens have been very solid. Reimer has had a GAA of 2.61 this season while Scrivens is at 2.70. Not bad. From NHL.com: "It's been a while, right? I love playing here, and I'm happy for the win. It's a big win for us. I don't know if we had the best game, but we battled hard. It's tough when you get chances to not bury it, but fortunately it went in tonight." - Phil Kessel on scoring his first goal of the season.Image by Marianne Helm/Getty Images North America
